We celebrate the emerging talent of our graduating students 2020 from BA(Hons) Graphic and Communication Design with a showcase of diverse and innovative work. The resilience and self-determination of these students to be able to stay focused in such extraordinary circumstances has been incredibly impressive and the staff are in ore of their efforts.
The work on display in our virtual exhibition and accompanying e-catalogue, are the result of an extended period of hard work by our students and staff in the School of Art & Design. Expect to see this year some outstanding designs from our Level 6 students including publication design; cleverly crafted branding, social media advertising concepts, imaginative illustrations, packaging, dynamic motion graphics, app design and clothing apparel. The nature of these projects contributes to a whole host of national debates about climate change, sustainability, health and well-being, and the vulnerable with compelling visual messages.
Throughout the course of their study, research-informed teaching by a diverse and dedicated team of lecturers and practitioners, ensures that each student has located their area of interest within the very broad scope of what ‘Graphic Communication’ is today. This should be clear from the work on display. Students are also graduating with a strong sense of where and how to develop the next stage of their career as they enter a fast-moving industry, which continues to be prosperous.
These students have achieve great things over the period of the course and have won prestigious and high profile awards, such as:
